Presently Jerry serves as an assistant Scoutmaster and Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 133 which has 65 Scout members (2009 – present).

Twenty-five (25) years of experience has provided him an opportunity to design and fabricate multiple industrial processing lines and facility upgrades. His underlying interest has always been to create efficient facilities that can maintain low operating cost while meeting production requirements.

A recent major project was to design and oversee installation of an 80,000 square foot facility to buff, plate and powder coat door hardware. This 3-1/2 year project was designed from the ground up including a new building to meet the production equipment requirements in a LEAN manufacturing environment and involved nearly twenty million dollars of equipment.

Additional projects related to energy conservation have included analysis of process exhaust systems and replacement of oversized equipment, custom control systems for exhaust and air make-up systems and custom heating controls for immersion process equipment.

Gregg Roth has been with Finishing Concepts since 2007.  As a former business owner he knows and understands the unique challenges of production, maintaining profitability and creating a desirable workplace.  This background is an asset that he uses when evaluating the requirements for a customer’s needs.

His previous experience includes over 33 years of custom machinery design experience, specializing in the paint finishing field.  Experience includes the design of new as well as modifications of existing wet paint and powder coat systems for small and large companies including Fortune 500 and Tier 1 automotive suppliers.

He also has extensive industrial experience in the development of equipment outside of the paint finishing area.  This includes cell type washers for the intermediate cleaning of parts between processes using robotics and immersion technologies.  Additionally, he has designed industrial ovens for the sintering, annealing and composite curing market, incorporating integral standard and customized conveyor operations.

His manufacturing background includes the design of Make-Up Air Systems and the associated supply/exhaust distribution ductwork for maximizing process efficiencies.

In addition to all of the system knowledge he has a vast history with selection of items for supplying the individual component requirements.  Gregg has been using his broad range of knowledge for engineering and consulting services provided by Finishing Concepts, Inc. His services have been used on projects for energy management, machine control, pumping systems, natural gas controls and facility design to name a few of his recent projects.

His community involvement includes mentoring of a high school robotics and rocketry teams.  The robotics teams have enjoyed success competing in regional competition for the past three years.  The rocketry team traveled to Washington DC to compete in a national contest where the teams were evaluated for accuracy of height, flight time and ability to land without cracking an onboard raw egg.
